Just outside of Napier, the Art Deco Capital of New Zealand, sits Meadowood House.
Surrounded by lush gardens and forest, the luxurious private house was recently renovated by Little & Fox Interior Design Studio.
A restored Art Deco treasure
“We worked with exisiting wallpapers which were based on the art deco era. We are passionate about Aalto paint and always include it in our projects due to its rich colour depth. Each room features a distinct theme, and we focused on enhancing these themes with both paint and complementary furniture and window treatments. Meadowood suffered significant damage during the cyclone. Since this home is used for wedding parties, we aimed to ensure guests leave with a memorable impression and experience.” - Little & Fox

Aalto Culmination
Forming part of Meadowood Wedding and Events Venue, the house was originally built in the 1930s and has been renovated over the last few years, offering guests the clean modern style of this glamorous and decadent era. Tucked away in the idyllic Hawkes Bay and neighboured by local vineyards and orchards, the house is available for bookings during the wedding off-season.
