Waterbased Enamel Satin

Aalto Ultra Premium Waterbased Enamel Satin is a premium waterbased enamel in an easy to maintain satin finish. This paint is formulated with additional mould inhibitors making it ideal for use in wet or service areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and institutional use. It’s fast drying, low in odour, non-yellowing and washes up in water. Ideal for walls, trims, doors and window surrounds.

• Typical uses: interior and exterior windows, doors and trim; interior walls in wet areas
• Ideal for: previously painted surfaces and new timber, Gib®, plaster, wallboard
• Coverage: 10-12m² per litre
• Sheen level: satin 20% gloss

Aalto Ultra Premium Waterbased Enamel Satin can be applied by synthetic brush, roller, or spray.

Airless spray – a 415 or 515 tip is recommended. When spraying, Aalto Ultra Premium Waterbased Enamel Satin will need to be thinned to suit.
Rolling – a synthetic 6-8mm nap roller sleeve is recommended.

Because of the quick drying nature of Aalto Ultra Premium Waterbased Enamel Satin, in hot conditions it may be necessary to thin up to 5% with hot weather thinners.

Old enamels will require fine sanding to a uniform dull finish.

1. Ensure surfaces are dry and free from dirt, dust, oils, grease or other contaminants. If mould is present, treat with a suitable cleaner.
2. Fill any cracks or holes with a paintable filler. Allow to dry, and sand to a smooth finish.
3. Spot prime any repair work with Aalto 3 in 1 Undercoat
4. Stir paint thoroughly with a broad, flat paddle, using an up and down scooping motion.
5. Apply 2 coats of Aalto Ultra Premium Waterbased Enamel Satin, allowing 2 hours between coats.
