Specifications
Aalto Interior Sealer Undercoat is a professional quality waterbased high build sealer and undercoat for interior broadwall surfaces. Formulated to dry fast to a free-sanding film, with excellent opacity and holdout for topcoats.
- Typical uses: interior walls and ceilings
- Ideal for: new Gib®, plaster, interior wallboard and timber
- Coverage: 8-10m2 per litre
Application guide
Aalto Interior Sealer Undercoat can be applied by synthetic brush, roller, or spray.
Airless spray – a 417 or 517 tip is recommended. When spraying, Aalto Ultra Premium Interior Low Sheen will need to be thinned to suit.
Rolling – a synthetic 10mm nap roller sleeve is recommended.
- Ensure surfaces are free from loose and flaking paint. Wash surfaces with a suitable cleaner such as sugar soap to remove any dirt, oils or grease. If any areas of mould are present, treat with a suitable mould remover.
- Fill any cracks or holes with a paintable filler. Allow to dry, and sand to a smooth finish.
- Apply 1 coat of Aalto Tradeline Sealer Undercoat and allow to dry
- Lightly sand the surface and thoroughly dust off
- Apply 2 coats of selected finish coat
