Specifications
Aalto 3 in 1 Undercoat is a professional quality paint that combines the functions of a primer, sealer, and undercoat in one. Suitable for interior and exterior applications, Aalto 3 in 1 Undercoat is formulated to provide maximum adhesion, block tannin and other stains, and provide excellent holdout for topcoats.
- Typical uses - interior walls and ceilings; interior/exterior doors, trims and windows
- Ideal for - timber, Gib®, plaster, brick, concrete, galvanised iron, previously painted surfaces
- Coverage: 8-10m2 per litre
Application guide
Aalto 3 in 1 Undercoat can be applied by synthetic brush, roller, or spray.
Airless spray – a 415 or 515 tip is recommended. When spraying, Aalto Ultra Premium Interior Low Sheen will need to be thinned to suit.
Rolling – a synthetic 10mm nap roller sleeve is recommended.
- Ensure surfaces are free from loose and flaking paint. Wash surfaces with a suitable cleaner such as sugar soap to remove any dirt, oils or grease. If any areas of mould are present, treat with a suitable mould remover.
- Fill any cracks or holes with a paintable filler. Allow to dry, and sand to a smooth finish
- Stir paint thoroughly with a broad flat paddle, using an up and down scooping motion
- Apply 1 full coat of Aalto 3 in 1 Undercoat
- Apply 2 coats of your chosen Aalto finish coat
