Founded in 1994, Powersurge is a creative design house based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Established by designer Todd Stevenson and Creative Director Andrea Harradine, every Powersurge piece is individually handmade by their dedicated team in their Auckland workshop and studio.
With a diverse product line of handcrafted brass lighting, mirrors and handles. Their work can be seen throughout New Zealand’s most design-forward commercial spaces and notable private residences.
A shared love for design
We recently worked with Powersurge on colours for their new studio space, and in the process, discovered a shared genuine appreciation for the NZ design landscape.
They invited us to feature in the first episode of Good Company, a short form film series featuring some of NZ's most respected designers and makers, and follow the process of creating two bespoke colours for Powersurge—Braze and Heath. Inspired by the warmth and evolving patina of brass, these colours now define the our studio. The relationship between colour and metal feels instinctive, with each bringing greater depth and presence to the other.
