An understated, luxury interior reflects the clients lifestyle

Recreating the exotic vibes of a tropical resort

This new-build home was designed to capture the relaxed, playful and exotic vibe of a holiday resort for this family of four with a fun and contemporary spirit. Every detail of the design was considered - KFD Interiors was engaged to work with the clients nearly two years before they actually moved into the home, the results affirming why patient and attentive design is always something to be invested in.

“ Quality, unassuming materials have created an aesthetic that isn’t typically “resorty” but achieves the objective of an understated luxury interior through refined detailing and warm finishes. ” — Kirsten Ford

The interior materials were kept as honest as possible - cedar and plaster walls, oak flooring, oversized travertine look tiles and slabs of navy blue-veined quartzite. Crisp white and soft grey walls provide the perfect balance to this, offsetting the luxe textured furnishing in rich metallics, lush velvets and tactile weaves - with some attention grabbing botanical and animal prints too. With obsessive attention to detail, this stunning home delivers on the brief of understated luxury at every turn.
